A crown is a "cap" that covers the whole of the tooth to protect it from further damage or to reshape it. It is constructed of either all porcelain or a combination of metal and porcelain. Crowns can be specifically designed to alter the size, position and colour of a tooth.

A bridge is a restorative procedure used to replace a missing tooth. The teeth either side of the gap are prepared and a false tooth is fixed between the two connecting crowns. "Bridging the gap" is a very popular functional and also aesthetic procedure and the results achieved are truly amazing.
